Acceptance criteria for injection molds
Injection molds are used in a wide range of industries and as tools for the production of plastic products. How to test the mold? What are the standards?
1. Mold material
The material of the mold directly affects the service life and processing performance of the mold. It is necessary to check the material of each part of the mold with the agreed mold steel. Mold suppliers should provide the material certification and properties of the corresponding material, to ensure that the customers understand the material well.
2. Mold design
Generally, after the project has started, the mold design should be provided to the customer according to the product structure, and the supplier should follow the design strictly. If modifications are required in the mold manufacturing, inform the customer to get permission is necessary. After completion, the supplier should provide all the mold drawings for subsequent maintenance.
3. Product quality
Product quality is the most important criterion of mold acceptance. The customer needs to check the product's appearance and dimensional tolerances based on the sample provided by the supplier to ensure that the product meets the usage and assembly requirements. If the actual test results cannot meet the standards, the mold should be improved.
