1.Material properties
Acrylic(PMMA) is a plastic material with high transparency, and it has been widely used in instrumentation parts, automotive lights, and light guide products. Acrylic products have high light transmittance and high surface quality requirements and cannot have any defects that affect the surface quality and smoothness. Acrylic material has a high melting point and poor fluidity, so it is necessary to apply a higher molding temperature to improve the fluidity of the material.
2.Mold manufacturing
The most critical part of processing of acrylic product molds is the polishing work of the cavity surface. The level of polishing quality determines the appearance of acrylic products. Precise polishing quality, reasonable mold design, and meticulous mold processing ensure the high standard of acrylic molds.
3.Injection molding
Because of the properties of acrylic materials, more attention should be paid to the adjustment of mold temperature and material temperature in the molding process. Otherwise, many common molding defects will occur on the surface, causing unnecessary production losses.
