Analysis of thread release mechanism of injection molds
In the injection molding industry, many products have threads on their structure, and there are two demolding methods for thread products: one is to use the elasticity of the plastic material to directly eject the product from the mold core, which is called forced demolding; the other method is mainly for the product with deep threads, high material strength and high thread accuracy, for this case, thread release mechanism should be applied in the demolding. The thread release mechanism can use gears, racks, and other structures to release the product from the mold core while opening.
Motor
The motors used in the rotary demolding are electric motors and hydraulic motors. Compared with hydraulic motors, the speed of the motor is too fast, and the working condition is not steady, so hydraulic motors are often used at current. When using a hydraulic motor as a transmission device, it needs to be used with chains and sprockets.
Rack
The rack structure uses a hydraulic cylinder to drive the rack, and the rack then drives the gear in the mold to achieve demolding. The main disadvantage of this structure is that the hydraulic cylinder and rack will occupy a large space and make the mold bigger, so the rack structure is suitable for products will shallow threads.
