Heat installation and insert molding
Inert molding is one of the common molding methods, which is a process of wrapping a pre-placed metal insert with melted plastic. The metal insert is placed in the mold when the mold is open, after the injection molding is completed, the complete product will be ready. Insert molding is widely used in different industries, and the products processed by insert molding have the advantages of high strength.
Heat installation
Heat installation is also a installation of embedding metal inserts in to products. In contrast to insert molding, the heat installation can be performed after the product is injected. Specially, the pre-heated insert is pushed into the reserved hole on the product manually or with a tool. The control of thrust and temperature in the heat process needs to be precise to ensure that the insert can be wrapped in time.
Compared with insert molding, the heat installation reduces the complexity of the mold, while saving labor and time costs.
For the selection of heat and insert molding, it need to be deeply consider the application of the product and the project budget.
