For some simple structure products, we can measure it with simple equipment such as a vernier, but for the measurement of precision parts, we need to use precision instruments, such as a projector, hardness tester, etc.
1. Profile project
A project is an instrument for checking and measuring specific objects by optical standards, and is also an essential measuring system for R&D, quality control departments for dimensional inspection of small workpieces. The projector is used more in the automotive industry, injection mold industry.
2. CMM
Coordinate is a common mechanical measurement tool, its measurement functions include dimensional accuracy measurement, positioning accuracy measurement, geometric accuracy measurement, and contour accuracy measurement. Its working principle is to measure the coordinates of the injects, and them combine with computer processing to accurately measure the geometric data.
3. Two-dimensional measuring instrument
The two-dimensional measuring instrument is used to measure the dimensional on the plane of products and molds, and the measurement includes position, concentricity, straightness, roundness, and other dimensions. Its advantages are that the data can be saved and processed by computers, and it can also be edited directly in CAD software, making the use of measurement data more convenient.
4. Hardness tester
The hardness tester is an instrument for testing hardness with different standards, the general reference standard is Shore A. For some mold components and plastic products with hardness requirements, the hardness tester can be used to measure the hardness.
