How to check the injection molding machine’s tightness?
To determine if an injection molding machine is leaking, you can follow these steps:
1. Tighten the mold as tight as possible, so that the machine can maintain high-pressure clamping. Set the high-pressure clamping pressure flow to the maximum, and manually press the clamping button. Hold it down and do not release it. Observe the pressure gauge. If the needle can be maintained without moving, it means that the oil pump is not leaking. If the needle slowly slides down, it means that the oil pump is not tightened.
2. During the molding process, after the melted plastic filled the cavity and cooled completely. Change from semi-automatic to manual operation, start injection and observe the screw position at the same time. If the screw slowly moves forward, it means that there is leakage in the screw system, otherwise, there is no leakage, and the injection molding machine’s tightness is fine.
