How to control the tolerance of the plastic molded parts?
Due to the material properties, there will be a certain shrinkage deformation after cooling of the molded product. To ensure that the product can reach the designed size, we should adjust the mold design in combination with the properties of material, mold structure, and parameters of injection machine, thereby to control the product size within the appointed tolerance range. At present, there are three aspects we can follow:
1. Mold design
1. Fully consider the mold structure, mold material and hardness.
2. The setting of draft angle, parting surface of the mold structure.
3. A suitable ejection system.
4. Which temperature control method should be use? Which circulatory system should be choosing?
5. The formation, size and location of the mold gate.
2. Molding process
Although some structural settings have been completed in terms of mold design and manufacturing, in the actual production process, there will still be problems that affect the product precision, how to solve them?
1. select the appropriate injection molding machine.
2. Control the material temperature and mold temperature suitable. It is necessary to set the material temperature within the optimal flow speed by its physical data of plastic materials.
3. Adjustment of mold pressure and exhaust system.

A raw material is often produced by many suppliers, and the products produced by each supplier varied in properties. In the mold design stage, it is necessary to adjust the molding machine by the properties data.
