TPE material is one of the thermoplastic elastomers and is mainly used in insert mold as a coating material. When produce the TPE material, you will meet the demold issue of the TPE material, and the main reason for this problem is because the product is easy to stick on the mold. Is there any effective way to solve it?
Solutions:
Release agent. This is the most common way to solve demold issue.
Adjustment on mold structure. Apply different surface treatment for each half of the mold, and reduce the draft angle.
Adjust the injection machine setting. Reduce the molding temperature and holding pressure.
Material optimization. Additives with required attributes can be added to TPE to improve the demolding issue.
