Machining centers are important equipment in injection mold processing, it is a multi-functional, high=precision CNC machine tool that integrates multiple machining processes such as milling and drilling into a single device, and can realize multi-axis linkage machining, with the advantages of high machining accuracy, high efficiency, high automation. Machining centers are divided into different categories, like 3-axis and 5-axis.
A 3-axis machining center is a basic type of machining center. It has only three motion axes of XYZ, which can process three-dimensional parts. However, for parts with complex surfaces, multiple positioning is required to complete all processing. A 5-axis machining center is an advanced type of machining center. It has five motion axes of XYZAB, which can realize machining of the workpiece at any angle through the rotation of the worktable or the spindle. Therefore, all processing can be completed with one fixture, thus improving production efficiency and machining accuracy.
3-axis machining centers are relatively low-priced and are suitable for processing general parts such as tool parts. 5-axis machining centers have higher machining accuracy and efficiency and are suitable for processing complex parts such as aircraft blades and automotive crankshafts.
