Improve Product Quality
Sliders can enable the mold cavity to form complex shapes, meet the requirements of product structure design, and improve product quality. For example, for products with side recesses, if sliders are not used, the product can only be designed with the same opening direction, otherwise the product cannot be de-molded. However, with sliders, the product can be demolded in any direction, which can achieve complex structural design.
Enhance Production Efficiency
Sliders can simplify mold structure, reduce the number of parts, lower mold manufacturing difficulty and cost, shorten the production cycle, and improve production efficiency. For example, for products with inner holes, if sliders are not used, complex cores need to be made, which is not only difficult to process but also costly. With sliders, a simple cavity can be made to achieve the molding of the inner hole, thus reducing the complexity and cost of the mold.
Extend Mold Life
Sliders can reduce the number of moving parts in the mold, reduce wear, and extend the service life of the mold. For example, for products with sidewalls, if sliders are not used, inclined guide blocks need to be made on the sidewalls to de-mold the product. During the opening and closing of the mold, friction occurs between the inclined guide block and the sidewall, causing wear. With sliders, the friction between the sidewall and the inclined guide block can be avoided, thus reducing wear and extending the service life of the mold.
