Necessary data for plastic injection mold
The production cycle of an injection mold project is generally 40 days, and the communication between the supplier and the customers in the beginning directly determines the progress of the project. The following are some details of the mold project. If this data is fully provided, it will save lots of time on information exchange.
1. 3D product design in STP, IGS and X_T formats; 2D drawing files in DXF and DWG formats.
2. The appointed plastic material and its datasheet (shrinkage rate is important).
3. Surface treatment requirements (texture, polishing), and assembly requirements.
4. How many cavities are needed? The service life of the mold.
5. The specifications and technical parameters of the injection molding machine while used in mass production.
6. Standards of mold base and accessories, such as HASCO, DME, and PUNCH.
7. Does the product need date stamps, and cavity numbers?
8. Hot runner system and its brand.
9. Mold design for review and the manufacturing period.
