PEBAX material
PEBAX material is a black copolymer composed of polyamide and polyether segments, developed by ARKEMA, a French company. It is a thermoplastic elastomer with the following excellent properties:
1. Low density: The density is about 0.9, which is about 20% lighter than polyurethane elastomers.
2. Excellent tensile strength and tensile strain: The tensile strength can reach 400 MPa, and the tensile strain can reach about 800%.
3. Outstanding wear resistance and tear resistance: The wear resistance can reach 1000MPa, and the tear resistance can reach 200N/mm.
4. Good chemical resistance: resistant to acid, alkalis, and corrosion.
5. Excellent low temperature: can be used at -40℃.
6. Biodegradable: Made from renewable materials, can be degraded.
PEBAX materials have a wide range of applications, including:
