Preparation for injection molding
1. Check the raw material
By checking the packaging, shape, and size of the particles, appearance, and color of the raw material, you can determine if it is the same material as the material number required by the project, and prevent the use of the wrong material for processing. For transparent or white products, special attention should be paid to whether the material is contaminated.
2. Masterbatch
Plastic raw materials are mostly white, milky white, yellow, and transparent when they leave the factory. To meet the color requirements of the product, color masterbatch and other additives need to be added to the raw material with a certain proportion before use.
In general, the product color has been determined during the mold testing, and the ratio of color masterbatch has been formulated. In the mass production stage, you only need to mix evenly according to the ratio.
3. Drying of raw materials
If the raw material contains moisture, it will leave defects such as silver streaks and bubbles on the surface of the product, affecting the appearance and quality of the product. Therefore, it is necessary to dry the raw material and color masterbatch thoroughly before injection molding.
4. Equipment cleaning
Equipment cleaning includes cleaning the mold and molding machine. If there is residual material or dirt in the mold and molding machine, it is easy to cause defects such as black spots and color differences in the product.
5. Mold
Before mass production, the mold needs to check the cooling system and hot runner system to ensure that the mold meets production requirements.
