The difference of aluminum for die casting and CNC machining
Aluminum alloy has good heat dissipation and machinability, it is one of the most acceptable industries raw material like plastic. The processing technology of aluminum products are CNC machining and die casting, and the aluminum materials used in these two methods are quite difference in properties. So, what is the specific difference?
1. Material
The die casting process uses ADC12 or ALsi9cu4 mostly, and 6031 and 6061 are suitable for CNC machining.
2. Appearance
The die-casting process is similar to the injection molding and can produce any shape.
3. Thermal conductivity
The thermal conductivity of aluminum materials used in CNC machining is higher than die casting, which can reach 200W/M.K.
4. Cost
The cost of materials used in these two methods are nearly the same.
5. production efficiency
Die casting products are produced by die casting mold by die casting machines, the production efficiency is far beyond than CNC machining.
6. Application
Die casting products are widely used in every aspect of our life, especially in the automotive industry. CNC machining are for high customization product in product testing and verifying.
