Since engaging in the molding industry, we have come cross many customers who have this understanding: plastic molds are used to produce plastic products, stamping die are used to produce metal parts, and their working principle is similar. In fact, there is a big difference between the working method of stamping die cand plastic molds, so, where can we learned?
1. Stamping dies are tools for making metal sheets into products by pressure on a stamping machine. There is no need to melt the metal material as the die casting mold.
2. plastic mold is a equipment for shaping molten plastic by molding machine. The structure is divided into mold base and mold core. Injection molds have a wide range of applications and can be used to produce plastic products with complex shapes.
3. The structure of stamping die and injection molds are completely different. The structure of injection molds is more complex, and needs to have cooling system, and demolding system. While stamping die is to extrude metal sheets of certain thickness into product.
4. In terms of processing, both stamping dies and injection molds are the tools that can be used for mass production.
The working method of die casting and injection mold is similar, and many customers tend to confuse die casting mold and stamping mold. Just remember that stamping dies do not change the state of the metal material, which die casting mold requires the molten material injected into the cavity just as the injection molds.
