1. Cavity layout. The main tips that influence the layout of the cavity includes the structure of the plastic parts, the dimensional requirements, mold costs, and mold life.
2. Parting surface. The position of the parting surface of the injection mold should be conducive to the mold manufacturing, exhausting, demolding, and injection molding, also make sure that the surface appearance remains good.
3. The gating and exhaust system of the injection mold. The gating system of the injection mold includes the shape, position, and size of the runners and the gate. And the position and size of the exhaust groove are the two main concerns of the exhaust system in the injection mold.
4. Ejection mechanism and pulling methods. At present, the ejection methods in injection molds include push rod, ejector plate, and combined method.
5. Determine the cooling process and heating method of the injection mold, the shape and position of the related heating and cooling devices, and the installation position of the heating elements in the injection mold.
6. Determine the thickness of the mold parts, the overall dimensions, and the structure of the connecting guide by the actual mold material and strength.
