1. Material cost
Material costs generally include steel(mold base, mold core), mold accessories, the heat treatment required for mold steel, among which the cost of steel and heat treatment has a greater impact on the cost of a mold.
2. Processing cost
Processing cost includes EDM machine, CNC center. The appearance quality of the product determines the processing technology required for the mold cavity, which in turn determines the cost of the mold. Plastic products with higher appearance requirements have higher processing costs on mold manufacturing.
3. Hot and cold runners
Whether the injection mold choose to apply a hot runner system in the mold design also has a greater impact on the cost of a mold.
For customers who can only provide product pictures for analysis, the quotation of molds is generally an estimated price which will be fluctuant in a range.
