When we offer customers a quote for injection molds and products, a detailed quotation should be provided to customer, which helps customers to know what standards we are using and what is included in the quotation. So, what information should be provided to customer in the quotation?
1. Injection mold
We can give our customer a reliable mold design according to the annual output and structure of the products, including the dimensions, the number of cavity, etc. At the same time, the gate type and the slide used in the mold should be also informed.
2. Raw material and standard.
The selection of metal materials is determined by the product. For instance, we would choose the metal material such as NAK80 if the products were required to polishing. The mold material information includes mold core, mold base, and accessories, etc.
3. Price and lead time
After knowing the basic information and cost of the mold, the customer needs to know the lead time. Normally, the lead time refers to the time from the confirmation of the product design to the first mold testing.
4. Mass production
The price of the product depends on the quantity per order, plastic material, etc. Basic information such as raw material, product weight, etc, can be listed in the quotation. We can provide customers with stepwise quotation to fulfill their needs at different quantities.
