What is included in the quality inspection of plastic products?
After the completion of plastic product manufacturing, a series of quality inspections should be conducted to ensure that the products received by customers are in accord with their expectations. Quality inspection consists of two aspects, supplier inspection, and customer inspection. The quality inspection report provided by the supplier can be the basis of product quality, meanwhile, customers can compare these two reports to decide whether the quality is approved. What does the quality inspection of plastic parts include?
1. Appearance
Product appearance inspection covers lots of aspects, including color and defects(flash, black spot, deformation, etc.), which is the most important part of quality inspection. In the inspection of product appearance, some tools can be used to support the output, such as magnifying glass or microscope.
2. Dimensions
Dimensions are the core part of plastic products and need to be tested in conjunction with the tolerance provided by the customer for each product. Detailed numbers for each size should be set for eliminating the test errors that may occur.
3. Assembly
After the approval of outside appearance and geometry dimensions, the final step of the assembly effect should be tested by the customer to check whether the connection part is smooth and perfect.
In the product inspection, the main reference standard for us is GB/T 2828, and random inspections should be done in proportion to the number of products. The date after inspection should be submitted to customers for confirmation. The data provided to the customer must include the material data sheet, warranty certification, etc.
