What is the draft angle? What are the ways to express it?
The draft angles refer to the angle set on the surface of the plastic product parallel to the ejection direction, and the main purpose is to facilitate the ejection of the plastic parts from the cavity. The determinations of the draft angle include the structure of the part, the shrinkage of the material, the wall thickness of the plastic, etc. Before we start the project, we should discuss with the customer on the product structure to see whether it needs a draft angle.
There are three ways to express the draft angle in design:
Linear
Angle
Slope
The target of set different units for draft angles is to meet the processing standard of different regions and countries, to avoid the possible conversion process, and make sure the efficiency of the mold manufacturing
